Not required. Sorry. My error. I managed to locate the bug.
The problem is that "conky" 1.4.4 is using the configuration
tail /var/log/Xorg.0.log 3 30
by default when there is no configuration file.
This seems to have been fixed in the newer version 1.4.7 which should
be upload soon.
