/usr/share/applications/xarchive.desktop contains the line
Categories=Gtk;Application;System;Utility;
which makes the xarchive entry end up in the system tools submenu of my
GNOME menu.
I think a submenu like Accessories would be more appropriate. That is
indeed where the xarchiver and ark entries are. For instance
/usr/share/applications/xarchiver.desktop has the following categories
Categories=GTK;Archiving;Utility;
Could you at least replace or delete the System category (I presume that
it is the wrong category) so that similar programs are located under the
same submenu?
