There weren't any features I was looking for with Emacs 22's flyspell,
but rather some vast performance improvements.  For example, enabling
longlines-mode in a large flyspell'ed buffer can take minutes with the
version included with dictionaries-common, versus a few seconds with
the Emacs 22 flyspell.  Unfortunately, it's unclear from the
changelogs I've found how or when this was fixed, so I can't dig up an
exact patch.
