Package: mc Version: 1:4.6.0-4.6.1-pre1-3 Severity: normal Followup-For: Bug #205073
There is a problem with viewing tar.gz-ed archive with MC. I create archive, open it via RET and see that all files are "in place". Then I add a file to a dir which I archived, recreate archive (with SAME name), open it again - and see no just added files. There are 2 'workarounds' which I found: 1) restart MC 2) wait for sometime (2-3 minutes?). At that: tar tzvf and tar xzvf outputs/extracts correct file listing. The same situation is with bz2 files. Looks like MC somehow caches archivers's output. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux deb02.jinr.ru 2.6.11.7viaixf00 #1 Tue Apr 19 05:44:00 MSD 2005 i686 Locale: LANG=ru_RU.KOI8-R, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.KOI8-R Versions of packages mc depends on: ii e2fslibs 1.34+1.35-WIP-2003.08.21-3 The EXT2 filesystem libraries ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libcomerr2 1.34+1.35-WIP-2003.08.21-3 The Common Error Description libra ii libglib2.0-0 2.6.3-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgpmg1 1.19.6-12.1 General Purpose Mouse Library [lib -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
