Package: fp-compiler Version: 2.0.0-4 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
FreePascal as included in the etch distribution does not work on my computer. It fails to produce any output, and seems to hang. An strace indicates that it waits for ppc386 to terminate, but that never happens. There is nothing on the standard output or standard error. CTRL+C terminates FPC with the message Error: Compilation aborted The problem persists, using fpc without any command-line parameters or with a ..pas-file indicated. I'm using FPC from sid right now, which works. I'm willing to assist in debugging this problem, if you need any debugging output, please ask. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-5-686 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages fp-compiler depends on: ii fp-units-rtl 2.0.0-4 Free Pascal -- Runtime Library fp-compiler recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
