This bug isn't fixed yet.
If you specify a path that includes a (leading, at the very least)
symlink, gthumb will not show thumbnails. Instead, you get lots of these:
** (gthumb:22288): WARNING **: Too many links
In my case, /home points to export/home:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ls -l /home
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11 2007-04-29 17:19 /home -> export/home
So gthumb fails to show thumbnails when I give it an argument of
/home/kevin/pics but shows them fine when I give it an argument of
/export/home/kevin/pics.
I'm currently running version 2.10.5-2 of gthumb:
