Subject: strace: Strace cannot be finished by killing with SIGINT Package: strace Version: 4.5.14-2 Severity: normal
*** Please type your report below this line *** I was troubleshooting an issue with HAL, with strace. Then I wanted to finish the trace. But strace failed to finish after issuing a SIGINT. > strace -f -o kk /usr/sbin/hald & > examine kk > kill -INT %1 > but strace does not finish. I had to kill hald. That worked, but sometimes one wants to stop the tracing, but not the traced program. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-5-amd64 Locale: LANG=es_ES.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_ES.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages strace depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13etch2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries strace recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
