In the last days I looked some more deeply into the problem and found the bug. During the upgrade to 0.4.1 the value of the gamma correction was set to zero. I've never done that! Due to this value I always got a black image. The conversion is running fine. Additional to the above facts I have an improvement for the image preview (thumbnail) inside the file open dialog. The preview should not depend on the selected values for converting raw files! It should always use the default values of each preference.
