I guess this is some kind of corner case. Symptom: Songs appears at wrong places Scenario: I use a automatic, filtered playlist with the following restrictions: * Rating >= 4 * Genre does not contain XMAS * Length <= 15:00 The List is sorted descending by last-played. Play is set to 'random-by-age'. Every n-th play (didn't realize a pattern, but it happens pretty often) when rhythmbox jumps to the next song, it actually doesn't change it's position in the playlist, but it replaces the old song with the current one. It can be best recognized by looking at 'last-played', since it's value doesn't fit into the otherwise sorted list.
