I have a virtual server from a commercial provider. The VEs are managed via Virtuozzo. When I deinstall vzctl my VE, the VE crashes: $ apt-get install vzctl Reading package lists... Shutting down VPS 1144987 Shutting down VPS 1144987 Shutting down VPS 1144987 Stopping OpenVZ: [crash] Note that 1144987 is the ID of my VE, that is, vzctl tries to shut down the VE from *inside* the VE. Then it tries to stop OpenVZ and crashes. Can please someone more familiar with OpenVZ check whether this problem also occurs if the host node does not run Virtuozzo, but OpenVZ?
