Package: approx
Version: 1.09
Severity: normal

I just tried out approx, and it has the common error (for new daemons)
of failing to daemonize correctly. A frequent symptom of this is sshing
into a machine, starting the daemon, and logging out, then having the
logout hang. This happens because ssh won't exit until all channels are
closed, and the daemon is still holding stdin/out/err open.

See http://www.clapper.org/software/daemonize/daemonize.1.html, or
Stevens' UNP, or similar references.
