So there is no chance for the package to migrate to testing without boost 1.34 anyway. IMHO we don't have to care for cases which do not apply to the Debian ecosystem directly. The patch should be integrated upstream if at all. I mean they mostly use the boost libs from their own tarball. Backports are still another matter.
