A quick look at the errors log shows the culprit: /usr/bin/mpd: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libvorbisfile.so.3: undefined symbol: vorbis_synthesis_idheader I imagine updating libvorbisfile3 will solve this problem. greets, Wim -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages mpd depends on: ii adduser 3.104 add and remove users and groups ii libao2 0.8.8-3 Cross Platform Audio Output Librar ii libasound2 1.0.14a-1 ALSA library ii libaudiofile0 0.2.6-7 Open-source version of SGI's audio ii libavahi-client3 0.6.20-2 Avahi client library ii libavahi-common3 0.6.20-2 Avahi common library ii libc6 2.6-5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libfaad0 2.5-4 freeware Advanced Audio Decoder - ii libflac8 1.1.4-3+b1 Free Lossless Audio Codec - runtim ii libid3tag0 0.15.1b-10 ID3 tag reading library from the M ii libjack0 0.103.0-6 JACK Audio Connection Kit (librari ii libmad0 0.15.1b-2.1 MPEG audio decoder library ii libmikmod2 3.1.11-a-6 A portable sound library ii libmpcdec3 1.2.2-1 Musepack (MPC) format library ii libogg0 1.1.3-2 Ogg Bitstream Library ii libpulse0 0.9.5-7 PulseAudio client libraries ii libshout3 2.2.2-1 MP3/Ogg Vorbis broadcast streaming ii libspeex1 1.1.12-2 The Speex Speech Codec ii libtheora0 0.0.0.alpha7-1 The Theora Video Compression Codec ii libvorbis0a 1.1.2-1 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libvorbisenc2 1.1.2-1 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libvorbisfile3 1.2.0.dfsg-1 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-3 compression library - runtime mpd recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
