I was interested in xinetd too, but I forgot to check this spot before diving in. Please consider starting from the attached Debian diff, which does the following:
* Use dpatch to organise patches.
* Get rid of config.{guess,sub} from Debian diff by using files from
autotools-dev (see 01_autotools-dev.dpatch).
Thomas, what does the remaining diff in 01_debian-patch.dpatch (touching
service.c) do?
