And it's created 0644 on my system. Since the socket is created by Net::Server somewhere and not by postfix, I'll have to dig around there. In any case it seems that the hook in postgrey that should set the permissions is now called not as root anymore and thus the chmod fails with -EPERM. thanks for the report. (... and please don't bother to file a bug about the logcheck patterns.
