Yes. If I remove pidgin-plugins-pack I no longer get the crash. In particular, maybe it's the IRC plugin? I had to remove the plugins pack because suddenly pidgin wouldn't even start up for more than a few seconds without segfaulting. I'm not sure why, but this happened when I switched from being on a LAN to connecting to the internet via PPP.
