I have the same problem as you with dupload. However it works fine if I run:
FTP_PASSIVE=1 dupload xxxxx.changes If that works for you too, I'd say that this bug could be closed once the error message is modified to say something like: Can't upload xxxxx.deb: Illegal PORT command. Try enabling the passive mode by setting the FTP_PASSIVE environment variable to 1 before using dupload.
