It's certianly possible to play a game of uqm that's leans much more heavily toward action, or towards being careful and strategic to avoid losing any crewmen. That's another nice thing about uqm IMHO, and I tend to play different ways depending on my mood. I think the default play style does lean toward action though, it at least takes some initial arcade-style play to learn how good a lander is needed for different types of planets, for example. I also don't think it's very possible to beat the game without arcade style play. Unless you know a strategy to defeat the su-matra without a big fight.. > Currently there are about 218 games in Arcade/Action and 53 in Adventure. > Looking at the list, Adventure is not as well defined as it should. Right, the main key element is an emphasis on exploration, and little or no need for reflexes. Well, I try to avoid hardcoded paths whereever possible, but menu files are a bit of an edge case as far as the cases where hardcoded paths end up being harmful. I'll probably change this in all my menu files anyway. -- see shy jo
