Hi. I too have a wish for a newer MailScanner package since ClamAV is woefully slow to start up at the moment (apparently fixed in a release candidate). On the 1st of July 2007, MailScanner stable version 4.61.7 was announced. The first entry in the change log is that is now has direct support for the "clamd" virus scanner.
