From my pbuilder build log, using a chroot with packages mostly from sid,
except that gcc-defaults is from experimental:

...
gcc -g -Wall -Werror -I/usr/lib/kaffe/include -I/usr/lib/kaffe/include/linux
-fPIC -D_REENTRANT -c -o org_tritonus_lowlevel_alsa_AlsaMixer.o
org_tritonus_lowlevel_alsa_AlsaMixer.c
cc1: warnings being treated as errors
org_tritonus_lowlevel_alsa_AlsaMixer.c: In function
'Java_org_tritonus_lowlevel_alsa_AlsaMixer_findElement':
org_tritonus_lowlevel_alsa_AlsaMixer.c:175: warning: the address of 'sid' will
always evaluate as 'true'
make[1]: *** [org_tritonus_lowlevel_alsa_AlsaMixer.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/buildd/libtritonus-java-20070428/src/lib/alsa'
make: *** [debian/stamp-binary-arch] Error 2

(Also, I'm curious whether the package really needs to Build-Depend on
itself.)
