Package: aptitude Version: 0.4.4-4+b1 Severity: normal Dear all,
since upgrading the whole apt infrastructure aptitude is horrible slow in loading the cache. The problem as mentioned on the status line in aptitude is the Intializing package status which takes some minutes on a rather new Intel Core2, so not an old processor. Formerly that took a few seconds. This happened with the upgrade of apt -> 0.7 aptitude -> 0.4.4-4+b1 Thanks a lot -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-rc6-hibsusp (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.ISO-8859-15, LC_CTYPE=en_US.ISO-8859-15 (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages aptitude depends on: ii apt [libapt-pkg-libc6.5 0.7.2-0.1 Advanced front-end for dpkg ii libc6 2.5-11 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.2-20070627-1 GCC support library ii libncursesw5 5.6-3 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii libsigc++-2.0-0c2a 2.0.17-2 type-safe Signal Framework for C++ ii libstdc++6 4.2-20070627-1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 Versions of packages aptitude recommends: ii aptitude-doc-en [aptitude-doc 0.4.4-4 English manual for aptitude, a ter ii libparse-debianchangelog-perl 1.0-1 parse Debian changelogs and output -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
