Dear Brice, I tried the new debian xserver-xorg-video-intel, but the melting effect described in this bug, which I found as well on my Dell X200 with i830M chip, remains. I thus re-opened the freedesktop.org bug at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10748 and thought the Debian bug should be re-opened too.
