While trying to understand that bug, I ran into another, more severe problem: adding the workrave applet caused by window manager to freeze, and I couldn't even kill the X server. After rebooting my computer and logging in GNOME, I discovered that some configuration of the panel was lost, like the various "Application launchers". This is super-annoying, since I had a long list of application launchers... I can understand that the fact that workrave is totally unusable by some people, while still usable by others, for an unknown reason, doesn't require an important severity for you. But the fact that just adding the applet causes data loss is clearly serious.
