I want to add some information which might help you to track the bug. Firstly not only the settings concerning the usage of address book names and photos is lost, furthermore these contacts loose the ICQ authorization status too (the are shown as "authorization required" now). Secondly it only happens to contacts of one group in my contact list. Thirdly I am using an address book stored in a IMAP resource with KMail.
