Package: upstart Version: 0.3.8-1 Severity: minor
The README.Debian file in /usr/share/doc/upstart includes the entry: "How can I see boot messages on the console?" I suspect that this entry is obselete, since the default configuration files distributed with upstart seem to already allow seeing boot messages on the console. I was interested in advise in the reverse direction: i.e., how to have console messages logged in /var/log/boot. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (102, 'unstable'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.21 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages upstart depends on: ii libc6 2.5-8 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii sysvinit-utils 2.86.ds1-38 System-V-like utilities Versions of packages upstart recommends: ii startup-tasks 0.3.8-1 definitions of essential tasks to ii system-services 0.3.8-1 definitions of essential system se ii upstart-compat-sysv 0.3.8-1 compatibility for System-V-like in ii upstart-logd 0.3.8-1 boot logging daemon -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
