This is really strange. It just worked here with texlive-base_2007-7 and texlive-base-bin_2007-9: I started in an etch chroot, installed tetex-bin, installed texlive which left tetex-base in "rc" state, dist-upgraded to sid, and purged tetex-bin and tetex-base. After that, "dpkg-reconfigure texlive-base-bin" failed as expected, but it worked again after the confmiss action: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/# dpkg -i --force-confmiss /var/cache/apt/archives/texlive-base_2007-7_all.deb (Reading database ... 22598 files and directories currently installed.) Ah, well. jadetex seems to have a couple of bugs, I'm not sure whether they're related. Let's forget about that for now; we're going to take it over, and I'm preparing an upload of -8 which will change a lot of things.
