If I understnad Kai correctly, the only changes done in stable are security updates. The two patches patch important security concerns that MaraDNS 1.2.12.04 has (remote denial of service). Please, if it is not feasable to update stable to 1.2.12.06, at least apply these two patches to 1.2.12.04.
