Note that there are newer snapshots available at http://emacs.orebokech.com. If you already have one, it will probably not be much different from the emacs22 package. Also, have you reported your problem with emacs-snapshot? > so I would like to use emacs22. It is probably save to use dpkg --force-overwrite, *unless* your emacs-snapshot reports 22.0.99 as emacs-version (the same as emacs22). No warranties, but if things really turn bad, you can always remove the emacs22 packages and reinstall the emacs-snapshot ones.
