ps2pdf - status is auto.
link currently points to /usr/bin/ps2pdf14
/usr/bin/ps2pdf14 - priority 50
/usr/bin/ps2pdf12 - priority 30
/usr/bin/ps2pdf13 - priority 40
Current `best' version is /usr/bin/ps2pdf14.
# ll /etc/alternatives/ps2pdf

# ll /usr/bin/ps2pdf

There is no ps2pdf link in any other directory in the path.
