Package: release-notes Severity: minor Dear Stable release team,
I was invited on -devel to submit a bug against the release notes to mention the fact that emacs does not support unicode out of the box. The text could be added in section 5 and could be something like the following. Packages not configured for Unicode by default. ----------------------------------------------- Some packages are not configured to use unicode locales by default, and their usage will be problematic when inputting non-ASCII characters. * emacs21, emacs21-nox : Please refer to the bug number 419490 (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=419490) to instruct emacs to honor the locale setting of the terminal you are using, and to use Han characters.
