I tried converting Linux_Magazine_DVD_Inlay_hi_res.pdf to .ps and it gv doesn't print any errors, but doesn't display it at all (but I guess that's different error). I can convert .ps file to .pdf using ps2pdf from gs-common just fine, so I guess it works fine and possible error is somewhere else. Feel free to reopen this bug or reassign it to gs-esp.
