Hi Ron, AFAICT, the SVG backend has been improved in the last versions. With a quickly found huge file, it looks like 2.12 performs very well compared to 2.8. If you have a specific file in mind, would you mind sharing it with me/us (private mail is OK, attaching it -- maybe compressed -- in a reply to the BTS is also OK)? You could also try 2.12-1, currently in NEW, available on[1] in the meanwhile (source package + i386 binaries). 1. http://kibi.sysif.net/pub/packages/graphviz-2.12/ Since I feel that 2.12-1 fixes it, marking this bug as pending, and if there's no news from you telling me that it is not the case, I'll close this bugreport once 2.12-1 hits the archive.
