this problem is related to the use of python-central. As I'm working on the package to fix some lintian errors I'll switch from python-central to python-support which should install the modules for all installed python versions. The other way would be to wait until python-central supports 2.5 officially, ans somehow I don;t want to do this, as I have the same problem.
