Bug#416841: mysql-server-5.0 hangs trying to do postinst

Hi Christian,

the problem is only reproduceable on Kernel 2.4.xx, not on Kernel 2.6.xx
I hate those esoteric bugs. Do you have a similar machine with 2.4 kernel
where you could reproduce that this is a general bug and not specific to
one server?

yes, tried it on ~5 machines with kernel 2.4 and on 3 with kernel 2.6. All 
2.6 kernel machines succeed, all 2.4 kernels failed.
