I can't see in your screenshot how you succesfully invoked mc in danish or not. Try invoking attached script with one of the following commands (just to make sure we are both using same environment): $ /usr/bin/X11/xterm -e ./mccrashtest.sh $ /usr/bin/rxvt-xterm -e ./mccrashtest.sh and then hit either F3 or F4 on top of the file "aa". For me (on a G4 PowerPC running sid), hitting F3 causes a "./mccrashtest.sh: line 3: 6626 Lagersegmentfejl" and instead hitting F4 causes a "./mccrashtest.sh: line 3: 6663 Lagersegmentfejl". > For me, it should be tagged as "unreproducible", since noone else was able > to reproduce it. Do you agree? Wether or not you should tag the bugreport as "unreproducible" is not for me to decide. All I can say is that I can produce it on powerpc (but no longer on i386 as at the time of the original filing of the bugreport). The bug is still reproducible here with latest official Debian package of mc (1:4.6.0-4.6.1-pre3-1). Also, please note that I reinstalled system from scratch a couple of months ago. This is a different laptop showing same problem as earlier - not same one (so if a problem local to my laptop it seems to follow my choice of Debian packages, not just the single system I used to use). Another possible test: Allow me temporary SSH access to your machine, and let's see if it has to do with how fast I push down that F4 button or something else completely odd... > 4.6.0-4.6.1-pre3-2 is apt-gettable from the following repository: > > deb http://www.stex.name/debian/ ./ > deb-src http://www.stex.name/debian/ ./ > > apt-get into it and try if you still have the bugs! :)) Please allow browsing of your directory so that I can grab the source manually if you'd like me to test with your unofficial package as well. And please instruct me how if you want me to somehow use a debugger to narrow down the problem.
