The config.{guess,sub} are also outdated, which you can fix easily by
copying those from the autotools-dev package (/usr/share/misc) over the
oudated ones. You could want to automate this copy, which is explained
in autotools-dev's README.Debian.

> libtoolize -c -f
> aclocal (-Im4 might be needed if there's an "m4" template dir)
> autoconf
Running "autoreconf -vfi" is also OK.
