mysql-server depends on mailx, and mailx depends on a mta. So, if you remove ssmtp (your mta), you'll remove mysql-server. Removing your mta is not a good idea, at least, you should replace it with exim4 or any other. I don't think this is a bug. PD. you can use LANG=C before the command to have an output in English. e.g. LANG=C apt-get remove ssmtp Best regards, Santiago
