Package: coreutils Version: 5.97-5.3 Severity: normal The command date doesn't permit inputting dates in a language other than english.
For example, with my spanish locale I can't isuue: # date -s "3 septiembre" in spanish as I issue # date -s "3 september" in english. I think the names of the months should be permitted in one's locales. Same problem with the names of the days of the week. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-2-686 Locale: LANG=es_DO.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_DO.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages coreutils depends on: ii libacl1 2.2.42-1 Access control list shared library ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libselinux1 1.32-3 SELinux shared libraries coreutils recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
