Package: coreutils
Version: 5.97-5.3
Severity: normal

The command date doesn't permit inputting dates in a language other than
english.

For example, with my spanish locale I can't isuue:

# date -s "3 septiembre"

in spanish as I issue

# date -s "3 september"

in english.

I think the names of the months should be permitted in one's locales.

Same problem with the names of the days of the week.
