Hi Simon,

the problem is, that network-manager is currently started/stopped by
dbus (via /etc/dbus-1/event.d) and dbus is is stopped rather early (K20)
on shutdown. nfs is unmounted in S40umountfs, so dbus/network-manager
are already down.

What puzzles me, is that you don't have the problem on startup?
After all, network-manager is started in rc2/S20 and nfs already in
rcS/S45mountnfs.sh.

Could you please describe your setup a bit more detailed. If you have
static IPs and no wireless you could consider to switch back to ifupdown
and uninstall network-manager.
