Package: xserver-xorg-video-i810 Version: 2:1.7.2-4 Followup-For: Bug #412275
Hello, Since a recent update of xorg into Etch I have noticed a similar problem (without harmful consequences) that I never have before. Now when I ajust the time (increase or decrease) via the configuration box of KDE clock, my screen goes completely black and shutdown like if it enter in powersaving mode. The system still responding and X does not crashes : simply hitting a key or moving the mouse and the display come back with no side effect. My .xsession-errors log show an "X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)" reported indefinitely as longuer the screen still black, for example : X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 20 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x1a00229 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 2 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x1a00229 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 15 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x1a00229 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 20 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x1a00229 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 20 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x1a00229 *** attempt to put segment in horiz list twice X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 19 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x2c00007 Hope that could eventualy help for tracking and solving this problem, THR4K -- Hardware Information: VGA-compatible devices on PCI bus: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller (rev 03) -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-18-x1 Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages xserver-xorg-video-i810 depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-11 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii xserver-xorg-core 2:1.1.1-18 X.Org X server -- core server xserver-xorg-video-i810 recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
