Package: splashy Version: 0.3.2 Severity: important Hi
Installed Splashy last week. Since then, when booting not all scripts in rc2.d are started, at least not at every boot (eg anacron, cron, and more). Removed splashy from grub/menu.lst fixes that. I'm guessing this means splashy does not shut down properly. Maybe something similar to bug #398240: splashy freeze on shutdown. FYI, grub/menu.list contained these 3 lines for splashy timeout 5 hiddenmenu # defoptions=vga=791 quiet splash -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages splashy depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libglib2.0-0 2.12.6-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libmagic1 4.19-1 File type determination library us ii libsplashy0 0.3.2 Library to draw splash screen on b ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-13 compression library - runtime Versions of packages splashy recommends: ii lsb-base 3.1-23.1 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip -- no debconf information -- Laugh and the world laughs with you, snore and you sleep alone. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
