In a perfect world all packages this would just work as eclipse would
build everywhere. The problem is that the eclipse package is not ported
to sparc (and some othere architectures). The eclipse-gcj package is
architeture independant and therefore available on all architectures.
I downgrade this bug to wishlist as eclipse needs serious work to make
everything work on sparc. When you install the eclipse package the
installation will still fail because the libswt3.2-gtk-jni package is
not available on sparc (yet).
I just wanted to say that you probably should remove these eclipse
packages from sparc in etch. What are they doing in repository if they
are unusable and uninstallable? Waste space on CDs and mirrors?
