I have put unstripped packages on http://www.bebt.de/debian/misc/
(exim4-daemon-light_4.50-8sarge2+b0_i386.deb and
exim4-daemon-light_4.50-8sarge2+b0_i386.deb). If you'd rather not
install binaries from untrusted sources, that is no problem:

1. as root: apt-get build-dep exim4
2. as regular user
apt-get install build-essential fakeroot
apt-get source exim4
cd exim4-4.50
export DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS="nostrip"
dpkg-buildpackage -uc -us -rfakeroot

If you are going t provide a backtrace using gdb libgnutls11-dbg will
be helpful.
