/etc/cron.d/mcelog creates mails every 5 minutes, if /dev/mcelog does not exist: Cannot open /dev/mcelog Perhaps, adding `-a -c /dev/mcelog' to the test statement helps, but I'm not sure, if it is enough in a case where /dev/mcelog exists but the device is not active.
