Thanks Eddy, The hpoj package is pretty much obsoleted by the hplip package. All upstream work shifted to hplip a number of years ago. As a consequence there hasn't been much maintenance to keep the package upto date with current policy. As it is non-trivial to switch to debconf this work hasn't and probably won't be undertaken. I suspect that etch will be hpoj's last release as it's obsolete and not compliant with policy. That said hpoj is still working for me and a couple of hundred others (according to popcon). Mark
