This is a very annoying problem. It's intermittent and hard to reproduce, but the result is graphical applications suddenly becoming unresponsive. There's a patch at <http://librarian.launchpad.net/4946192/libglade2-rb-grclosure-fix.patch> which seems to be a backport from 1.16. I'm just trying to see if it applies to the current version ok and if it resolves the problem (which due to its intermittency, might prove to be difficult).
