Package: annoyance-filter Version: 1.0.0b-4.1
The annoyance-filter package doesn't install in a useable way. The biggest problem is there is no message saying, for example, "Further configuration is required to work with your mail client. Please refer to some-document.html to finish installation and configuration" More problems that may be difficult to address during installation are: 1. Kmail/Kontact doesn't find it when using the spam configuration gui. It's looking for (I assume) a binary in /home/username/.annoyance-filter. This is how I got it working anyway. I've filed a bug against kmail at kde.org for searching for the binary like it searches the other spam filters. 2. There's no cron/anacron job to create/sustain the filtering database. This is not really possible to do from a package standpoint given the variety of email clients, but maybe needs to be documented in the package? ____________________________________________________________________________________ No need to miss a message.
