Hi,
I tried to export Excel XML from a web application. While
OpenOffice Calc is able to read such files (as well as Excel)
and xmllint detects no problems, gnumeric says at command line:
** (gnumeric:4608): WARNING **: Converted xml document with no explicit
encoding from transliterated UTF-8 to UTF-8.
and an error window contains the text:
The file is not a Gnumeric Workbook file
Sure this XML is different from Gnumerics own format, but IMHO
it would be a reasonable feature to read other XML format as well.
This is definitely an upstream bug which should be forewarded but
I want to proxy this through Debian BTS. Please tell me if you want
me to report the problem to upstream myself or if you have your
default way to foreward such problems.
