Hi, The default configuration in openssh-server is to allow password authentification. I will mention it in the README.Debian in the next release, as I have already mention the fact that ajaxterm cannot run "out-of-the-box" without installing openssh-server as it not run by root by default, and thus cannot use /bin/login (see #384931).
