Why not upload 0.5 to unstable and see if it works fine. If it does, you
you could request a freeze exception. If not and you have to upload
fixes for 0.3~cvs20060928, t-p-u could be used.

P.S.: What's the status of pm-utils? As comaintainer of hal I'd like to
test hal 0.5.9 which uses pm-utils as backend. With more and more
distros switching to pm-utils (Fedora/Redhat, Suse and Mandriva), I'd
say it would be a good idea to get on board and participate in the
developement of pm-utils.
